I am hoping that blogging is going to help me get through my frustrations, so I am back again. I had gastric banding surgery on 1/27/09 and am working through a great deal of frustration with the slowness of this whole process. Yes, I know if I had the by-pass, it would have been quicker weight loss but by-pass also has a potential for more complications. Don't get me wrong. I am glad I had it done. I have lost 17lbs and 5 inches in my waist. I am totally off of one diabetes medication (the one I was taking the highest dose of) and my blood pressure meds have been cut in half. I just want to see the work on the scale.

Fishing

Here is Andy with the first fish he has ever caught all by himself. Can you tell how proud he is? Boy is he getting big!

The boys were all smiles for our day of fishing at Lums pond. They loved the fishing hats we got for them. At only 4 and 6 they catch more fish than Pop Pop.

Nick is Four!!!

Nick celebrated his 4th birthday yesterday. We all took the day off and had fun. First we went to Playnation and had a fantastic time in the moon bounce. Then we had lunch at Burger King. Finally the boys got their pictures taken with the Easter Bunny. After Nick had his nap, we did cake & ice cream and gifts. Here are some pics.

The New Playground at Glasgow park

We took the boys to check out the playground that is being installed at Glasgow Park. It is going to be awesome. We had a great time in spite of the cold. Here are some pics of the boys having fun.

Ephiany Pageant

Our Church, Good Shepherd Episcopal, had the Ephipany Pageant today. Here is Andy in costume as the evil soldier who steals a ruby. He did not have any lines but he did take his part very seriously. He started by getting into character as he was getting into costume. He also did a fantastic slow mo run as he was running away with the ruby.
